Peonies and Valentines

I was out shopping for some valentine
plates and found this lonely one.

I love the pink peonies.
They do come in a wide variety of  colors.
I had the red, white, and pink in my yard,
they will be missed this spring.
The peony is named after Paean, a student of
Asclepius
, the Greek
god
 of medicine and healing.

Asclepius became jealous of his pupil. Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of
Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.

The sun was shining bright  in Kentucky today. I thought
the sun coming through the shutters made some interesting shots.
Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping in for a visit.
