I was visiting my son today and his dogwoods are beautifully in full bloom. Although it is an exceptional day for this time of year, the storm clouds are rolling into the area.

I not sure, if I like the pink or the white one's the best. Which color do you prefer?

My son, like many others in town, has one of each. I planted two last year; they are just getting buds. Hope I live long enough to see them bloom. They are slow growers.

As we drove though the campus, I took a few photos of the dogwoods in bloom. This is not as bright pink as the one in my son's yard.

I will stop my whining and be thankful for all we have. I do enjoy the beauty God has blessed us with each day and that I am here to enjoy it.

I hope you are having a beautiful spring. Come back and see my Easter table. I may not have the color candles that I want, but there will be some colored candles. I am linking to: http://lisaschaos.com/ ![]() http://thetablescaper.blogspot.com/ ![]()

WOW!!!! These are some of the pretties dogwoods I have seen in a long time. The colors in your photos are just stunning! Absolutely delightful! Thank you too for coming by and commenting on my Fridays Fences! Enjoyed the return visit very much!
ReplyDeleteI am from Ky but have lived a long time in Atlanta area. Thanks for the pretty stroll down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteThese dogwood trees are magnificent. You live in a pretty state. I have not visited it yet, but have friends who lived there for awhile. I am looking forward to your Easter taable. xo
ReplyDeleteJo, those are certainly beautiful dogwoods! We would welcome any dogwoods that would live for us long enough to bloom! For some reason we don't have much luck with them.:-( If I could choose, I prefer pink, though I think the white is probably more common. Anyway, they are in bloom around here, about two-three weeks ahead of schedule.
ReplyDeleteJo your photos are beautiful. I love dogwoods. When we lived in Cape Girardeau, we had two huge white ones in the front yard and four pinks in the back yard so I love both colors, don't think I can say which I prefer.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos! It sure looks like spring...
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and I just love the white flowers.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find candles some day.
Hugs
Elna
Jo, Great photos and the dogwoods are gorgeous. When pink dogwoods first started appearing years ago, I wasn't sure I liked them because I love the white so much, but now I'm liking them a lot...but still the white is my favorite. I especially like seeing the wild ones in wooded areas along the roads.
ReplyDeleteI love those blue skies!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Jo.
The Dogwoods are phenomenol--love the white, but the pink is also gorgeous. My Uncle used to have a lake home where he had so many Dogwoods that filled the property.

Wow, such beauty in the streets! My favorite is the white one -it looks like a dream!
ReplyDeleteWow it's very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBirdbath
These are very lovely, I think both the pink and white ones are equally pretty.
ReplyDeleteWell, since we have a gorgeous PINK Dogwood in our front yard, I guess I'm partial to the pinks. HOWEVER my parents had one of each (side by side) in our yard in my family home ---and they are awesome... SO--I'll take one of each... ha
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Joann.
Hugs,
Betsy
I have seen so many White and have had so many White ones- that the Pink ones just grab my eye! It's my most absolute fovoritisititiststs is that a word? Tree!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Beautiful Post!

Wow these photos are all so gorgeous. It is snowing AGAIN here today. I just long for spring flowers. Although driving to the store today I actually did see a tree just beginning to blossom in Pink. I almost ran off the road looking at it.(smile) I can hardly wait to see your Easter Table. I know it will be just gorgeous! Candles or not! And by the way what time is dinner?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wonderful comments on my posts Joann. (without an e...smile) You'll never know how much they mean to me. I am so grateful for your support and friendship.
Big Hugs,
Nann
I hope the storms didn't blow away the beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteOH I love the pinks but those whites are gorgeous too! I am always grateful to see God's handiwork everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI am originally from East Texas and the dogwood trees are plentiful there. I miss them as I always loved seeing them.I liked both colors. Just do not see as many here.
ReplyDeleteThe dogwoods are gorgeous. I don't know which I like best, the pink or white. Both equally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and kind comment and for following. I am following you now too.
The dogwoods are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them with us. I don't think I have a favorite - both are so pretty. The white seems to be more common around here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and nice comment.
These dogwoods are just stunning--thank you so much for sharing these photos in your post!

Our dogwoods here in East Texas came and went very fast this year. Your pictures are spectacular. I have decided I like the white ones the best. The pink is very pretty from a distance, but I like to take closeups of the blossoms and I think the white ones are more beautiful.
